| Job Description | We are recruiting a Cafe Manager to operate the Café Diner at our Whitwood truck stop following transfer of the business from a previous owner. The premises will undergo significant investment in 2024 to make it a market leading café and diner for customers of the truck stop and surrounding area. We want you to play a key role in this journey to make it “your Diner”. • Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both truck stop users and general trade from the surrounding areas and industrial park • Managing and training a successful team. This includes recruitment and HR • Being part of the kitchen team to create good quality food and provide excellent customer service • Sales reporting and financial reconciliation • Stock ordering and control • Shift rota management • Implementing your own ideas to drive sales and bring in new business (e.g. promotions, menu creation, themed branding, advertising, deliveries etc…) |

| Hours of work | Monday – Friday, approx. 40 hours per week The Cafe Diner is currently only open Monday to Friday. We will be expanding the opening hours to include weekends. |

| Qualifications / Skills | • Good knowledge and passion for the hospitality industry • EPOS and sales till usage and reports • A positive attitude and passion for customer service • Staff management • Basic arithmetic • Computer literacy and good understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), and similar software • Accountable for Food Safety, H&S, and licensing regulations • Driving license and the capability to drive their own vehicle to Exelby Services – Whitwood or our head office location at Leeming Bar, DL7 9FE |
